three pens sentimental

My very dear friend of Juvenal emailed me this beautiful text that demonstrates an idea he and I share: the fountain, use and enjoy, beyond the value of the piece to sink in the sentimental story of its owner. I'll leave then.

sentimental History three pens

For Juvenal

My childhood came when the pens were almost all land ceded to the pen. The bureau of home, land of the father he only agreed to the hand of my mother, and ever greater cause, they were, retired with respect, the two feathers from my parents. His, illustrious unknown piston damage odd accident at work, paired with the Parker amicably it.

Although it was fashionable to the gift of the pen as a cadet of the First Communion, mine coincided with only two pens, one a Cross suffered injuries distracted and nervous child of seven years that I was. But he did not stop me admiring that caused these two venerable fountain, probably talking with a retired Pelikan ink.

do not know if vdes., Patient readers, saw the arrival of the Stypen. Coincided with my troubled pre-adolescence. A lack of better entertainment that use it, I paid several weeks allowed me to buy one of them and their cartridges. This cartridge away from the boots of my parents, but with a little work I could see traces of that brass nib on the paper. He discovered how acquired fluency in the stroke, although there were not the miracle of making me sad more legible handwriting. I always knew that, secretly, my mother was pleased to see me go to class with pen this humble wonder.

Many years later, in one of those early inheritance that you get an adult, my mother sent me two feathers vernerables retired. Needless to say, are the best place in my meager collection, and will remain so even if the chance to bring me any jewel of writing. A loose piston by time, a nib distorted by the use, representing years of strenuous and poorly paid, adult path metaphorical ink who sweated to the beat of his jib that I have ample opportunity for even the amateurish writing on the Blog pens a friend to look any further than the other and a pen with me even to deliver when needed.
